Whether you're a beginner looking to explore the world of flute playing or an advanced student seeking to hone specific skills, my approach emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and discipline. I strive to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students can grow confidently as both musicians and individuals, with a focus on achieving personal excellence and a lifelong love for music.

Repertoire

We will collaborate on the music you bring to lessons, whether it's for an All-State audition, high school band pieces, or music of your own choosing. For solo repertoire, I will guide you in selecting appropriate pieces, but I encourage you to be proactive in picking music that excites you!

Duets

Duets are a fun and effective way to enhance your musicianship through collaborative playing. We will incorporate them regularly to strengthen your sight-reading and ensemble skills.

Notebook and Pencil

Please bring a notebook and a pencil to each lesson. Use it to record your assignments and jot down key notes to focus your practice for the upcoming week. Writing down what you learn in your own words is an excellent way to reinforce and retain the material!

Tuition

30 minute lesson: $25

60 minute lesson: $45

Payment is due at the first lesson of each month to confirm weekly lessons for the upcoming month. Accepted payment methods include cash, PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.

Cancellation

Please do not cancel a lesson unless it is absolutely necessary. Emergency cancellations do happen, but please make every effort to reschedule.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule a lesson, please notify me as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours in advance. If you miss a lesson or fail to provide at least 24 hours' notice, payment for the lesson will still be required. We will make an effort to reschedule the lesson for another day within the same week.
